Memojis are animated emojis that look like real people from Apple. Apple first released a feature called Animoji in 2017, these animated emojis were able to track your face to make it appear as if you were a talking emoji in iMessage or FaceTime. Then following this release, Apple released Memojis in 2018. In other words, Memojis are basically personalized Animojis that look like the owner of the Apple product where they’re being used.
What is a Memoji?
The goal of Memoji is to create an avatar that looks just like you. The Memoji builder in your Apple device lets you customize everything. Including skin tone, hair color, hairstyle, hat type, eye shape, and so much more to create a really realistic emoji. Momoji by Apple is a great feature to get users to form a stronger, more personal connection to their device. This means people will spend more time on their Apple products, which leads to increased profits for Apple—pretty smart!
How to use the Memoji component
In Framer, you can add Memojis to your designs, whether you’re an Apple designer or not. To use the Memoji component, search for Memoji in the Insert Menu and then press Insert. The component will appear immediately on your canvas. Once the component is placed in your design on the canvas, you can begin editing the style properties. The Memoji component in Framer comes with 30 preset avatars, but you can control how they’re displayed. Once you choose the Memoji avatar you like, head over to the properties panel on the right-hand side of the canvas. Here you can change the background color, border-radius, and rotation of the Memoji.
