Adding links to

pages and URLs.

Adding Links

You can add links to any layer by selecting it and clicking on the little arrow icon that appears on top of it. This allows you to add links to existing Pages within your website, or optionally to any given URL. After you’ve selected a page to link to, you can click anywhere on the canvas to dismiss the popover. If you’d like to later remove the link, you can open the popover again and click on the Clear button in the top right corner.

If you’re writing long-form content, you can also double-click to select a specific word within a sentence. When selecting, you’ll see a small link icon appear on top of your selected word too—this allows you to add links to specific words or sentences.

Styling Text Links

Once you’ve added a link, you can customize its style via the property panel on the right. You’ll find a few linking related properties there—see a small overview below.

Link. Text layers have a bunch of styling options—from Color to Size to Decoration. The Link property allows you to customize how links within that text layer should appear. If you have a paragraph with a few links, you might want the text color to be a dark-gray, but the links within to be blue with an underline. This is what the Link properties allow you to define.

Link Hover. This allows you to customize styles for links that when they are hovered. You could make the color slightly darker or lighter, for example, or add an underline on hover.

Link Current. This allows you to customize styles for links that point to the current page. For example, if you have a navigation bar with links to /home, /about and /content, and you are currently on the /about page, the styles you define in “Link Current” will render.
