The most interesting design trend right now isn’t “AI design.”
It’s the reaction against it: tactile textures, imperfect typography, visible grain, unusual compositions and work that feels intentionally human.
Perfect is becoming forgettable.
Coming back to Framer after the most intentional break I’ve taken in 5 years, two full weeks, no phone, no noise, just recharging at the right time.

Currently building my own website and I've officially become the worst client I've ever had. Endless revision rounds, impossible standards, and feedback meetings with myself at 2am. I need to fire myself.

One tool reacts. The other defines.
I know which one I'm betting on 😉.
I feel the early hype around the Framer community is slowly fading.
And honestly? That's fine.
Time filters everything. Only the real ones stay. 🤝🏽
Didn't win 10k at the Agents Hackathon, but I learned this building my project:
→ Agents aren't a shortcut. They're a speed layer on top of your design decisions. If you don't know what you want, the agent doesn't either.
→ Branching is the most underrated thing in Framer 3.0. Let the agent work in an isolated branch, review every change, merge only when you're ready. That's real control.
→ The new Community isn't a forum. It's infrastructure. Feed, gallery, marketplace, contests, all inside the same tool where you design.

AI agents are getting scary good.
Claude Code, Codex...they write, refactor, ship. Faster than any human.
But here's what they still can't do:
• Have a weird idea at 2am.
• Question the brief.
• Feel that something is off before they can explain why.
Lateral thinking isn't a prompt. It's a perspective. Use the agents. But bring yourself to the table.
4 years ago, I designed my first surf forecast app.
A fully monochromatic experience, pure black and white. No color. No gradients. Just tide curves, wave heights, and the starkness of a dark interface built around something as raw as the ocean.
Looking back at it now, I'd change a lot. The hierarchy could be sharper. Some interactions feel naive. There are choices I'd never make today.
But that's exactly what design maturity looks like, not building perfect things from the start, but developing the eye to look at your own work honestly. To see what worked, what didn't, and why.
The good parts? The visual language still holds. Monochrome forced me to solve problems with space and weight alone. That constraint taught me more than any color palette could have.
Four years. Still learning. Still refining. That's the work.
Spent way too long picking between two headline options. Ended up with the simpler one. It's always the simpler one.
Designers will understand.
4 days in the @Framer community.
Tutorials teach you how. Community teaches you why. Watching others build in real time changes the way you think about your own work.
Framer's AI limits are doing us a favor. If you're spending more time prompting than designing, you're not a designer who uses AI, you're just a middleman.
Use the tool. Don't become it.
I really hope @Framer builds an app so we can access the community in a much simpler way. Using it from a browser never feels like a native app. 📱
I am quite surprised by the naturalness, quality and healthy conversations that this community generates. Connecting with people who are worth it.

The idea behind this project was to create something that's not only visually polished but also genuinely useful. Building it pushed me to explore new ideas, refine my workflow, and experiment with what's possible in Framer.

Just launched Echo One, a fictional AI hardware startup concept built with Framer Agents.
The project explores what an AI-powered voice recorder startup could look like, combining product design, branding, storytelling and a complete marketing website into a realistic product experience.
I used Framer Agents throughout the process to help structure the site, generate content, refine layouts, improve responsiveness and review the overall UX before launch.
The goal wasn't just to create a landing page, but to build a believable startup concept that feels like a real product people could imagine using.
