Nordsud is a portfolio template for graphic design studios, art directors and independent designers who need their work to arrive with some weight behind it.
It ships bilingual. A switch in the navigation moves the entire site between English and Spanish instantly — no page reload, no duplicate pages, no separate URLs. The choice is remembered on the visitor's next visit. Every string in the template exists as a paired field in the properties panel, so translating the site means typing, not editing code.
The motion is built on GSAP and Lenis rather than fade-ins. Headlines split and rise character by character once the webfont has actually loaded. The showreel scales open as it enters the frame. Project cards can be thrown sideways with real inertia. The awards list surfaces the work behind each line as the pointer passes. Smooth scrolling runs through a single Lenis instance driven by the GSAP ticker, so nothing ever disagrees about where the page is.
Projects are managed through the Framer CMS, with a project page template that generates a URL per case study. The landing carousel stays a curated selection, so the work you lead with is a decision rather than whatever was added last.
Instant EN/ES switch — one click, no reload, remembered between visits
Every string is bilingual — paired fields in the properties panel, no code
GSAP 3.13 motion — SplitText reveals, ScrollTrigger parallax, damped pointer tracking
Lenis smooth scroll — a single instance, synced to the GSAP ticker
CMS project pages — a URL per case study, with bilingual rich text
Draggable work carousel — real inertia and a drag progress indicator
Container-query responsive — sections respond to their own width, not just the window
Reduced-motion aware — every automatic and scroll-linked animation has a fallback
8 code components + 5 overrides, all documented
