Hover Reel

A project index for film and motion work. Hover a title and its clip plays in a frame that follows the cursor, easing a little behind it.

Only the hovered clip plays. The others pause and rewind, so a list of ten films costs the visitor one video at a time.

Reveal: fade, wipe or iris - the frame opens with a soft fade, a sideways wipe or a circle.

Rows: title, meta, year, video, poster and link for each project, edited in the panel. Upload MP4, WebM or MOV. Rows are real links and can open in a new tab.

Follow: how far the frame lags behind the cursor. Lower is softer.

Frame width, ratio and corner radius, row padding, dividers, dimming of the other rows, colours and two fonts with full font controls.

Keyboard: tabbing to a row opens its frame too. Visitors who ask for reduced motion see the poster instead of the moving clip. Touch screens get a plain list.

Videos play muted, inline and looped, and load only when needed. Ships with five demo clips so it works the moment you drop it in.
