About NR — Press Slider
A slider that changes slides the way a page goes through a press. The outgoing
image breaks into halftone dots and the next one prints in, its riso plates
slide into register, or ink bleeds across the paper and leaves the new picture
behind.
Three transitions, one shader. Pick one, or let Cycle step through all three,
slide by slide. Dot size, intensity, and duration are yours to tune, and riso
prints in process inks or a coral-and-navy duotone.
It runs on WebGL and degrades gracefully. The canvas and thumbnails show a
still image, reduced-motion visitors get a short crossfade, and if WebGL or an
image is unavailable the slider crossfades plain images instead of going blank.
Nothing draws while the slider is idle or scrolled out of view.
It measures its own width instead of the viewport. In a narrow column the dots
get finer and an overlay caption moves below the image.
