SVG Doctor

Complex SVGs from Illustrator, Figma, Inkscape or Sketch often arrive bloated or problematic. Hidden editor data, thousands of redundant path points, and markup Framer can't import cleanly all get in the way. The result is heavy files, slow editing, and shapes that disappear or crash the import.

SVG Doctor analyzes each SVG, repairs what it safely can, simplifies paths, and checks the result visually before you insert it into Framer.

What it does

- Compatibility diagnostics. A Framer compatibility rating and a clear list of problems, with what each one means and whether it can be fixed.

- Framer-specific warnings. It catches markup known to crash Framer's SVG import, text that Framer drops, clipped shapes that disappear, and effects Framer ignores, such as masks, filters and patterns.

- File-size optimization. Removes editor metadata, hidden and empty elements and excess precision.

- Path simplification. Removes redundant points while keeping corners exact, so vectors are lighter to edit. Available in Balanced and Maximum modes.

- Visual-difference verification. The original and the repaired version are rendered and compared pixel by pixel. If a simplification changes the look beyond the safety limit, it's rejected automatically and a gentler setting is tried. A Difference view shows exactly what changed.
