Access Check

Access Check helps you catch common accessibility problems while you design, not after you publish.

What it checks

• Images without alt text

• Heading order: skipped levels (for example h1 straight to h3) and pages without a main heading

• Vague link text such as "click here" or "read more"

• Tap targets that are smaller than 24 x 24 px

• Links that open in a new tab (shown as an advisory, because it is sometimes intended)

How it works

• Choose what to scan: This page, Selection, or Whole project.

• Whole project opens each page and shared component for you while it scans, then takes you back to where you started. You do not have to open pages by hand first.

• Results are grouped by check, ordered by importance, with a short explanation and how to fix each one.

• Click a result to jump to the layer on the canvas, also on other pages.

• Copy a diagnostics report if something looks wrong.

Made to be accessible The plugin can be used with a keyboard and a screen reader (tested with VoiceOver). It has visible focus, readable colours in light and dark mode, announces the scan result once when the scan finishes, and respects reduced motion.

What it cannot do (please read)

• It finds likely problems. It cannot prove that a site is accessible. A clean result does not mean the site is accessible; a manual check with a keyboard and a screen reader is still needed.

• Colour contrast is not checked yet (planned).

• Heading levels are read from text styles (h1 to h6). A heading made only by changing the look of text cannot be detected.

• Tap targets are checked for linked frames only.

• Code components are not inspected, because Framer does not expose what is inside them.

• The plugin only reads your project. It never changes anything.
