Credits
When you sign in through Google, you are assigned a few free credits to test the AI-powered features. Each credit is good for one alt text generation. You can use Alt Text Generator to generate alt text in bulk or select a single image to generate.
Additional credits can be purchased through a payment link within the plugin.
Limitations
Alt Text Generator uses large language models (LLMs) from OpenAI to generate alt text for your images. This produces remarkably good results. However, it is worth checking that you are happy with the generated text, given LLMs are inherently unpredictable.
Occasionally, when generating alt text for many images, a few generations will fail. User credits are not deducted in these cases and most often another try will resolve the issue.
Alt Text Generator currently supports jpeg, png, webp but not SVG.
Currently, Gallery CMS fields are not accessible. I aim to update this when the are available in Framer's plugin API.
