Nodstream Video Bandwidth

About Nodstream Video Bandwidth

Video is the fastest way to burn through your site's bandwidth. One autoplaying hero loop gets re-downloaded by every single visitor, and a good traffic month turns into a plan upgrade you didn't budget for.

Nodstream takes the video off your site. Upload a clip in the panel, we compress and host it, and you paste one link into any Video component

(Source → URL). Your visitors stream it from us, so it never counts against your site's bandwidth.

What you get

• Compressed and optimized on upload — crisp up to 1080p at a fraction of the

file size, so your pages stay fast

• Starts playing immediately instead of buffering, even on big background loops

• No watermarks, no player chrome, no "up next" screen at the end

• Works anywhere a Video component does, including full-bleed hero loops

• Up to 240MB per upload

• Your library lives in the panel — recopy a link, replay a clip, or delete one

whenever you want

Pricing

Free accounts host 1 video. Pro is $45/year for 20 videos — flat, with no

per-GB metering and no overage bills.

Data and services

The plugin connects to two external services:

• Nodstream — the videos you upload, so they can be compressed and hosted, plus

your video library, plan, and processing status. Your sign-in token is sent

with each request to identify your account.

• Supabase — sign-in only. The email and password you enter, and session

refreshes to keep you signed in.

The plugin does not read your project. Nothing about your canvas, pages, layers,

or selection is sent anywhere. The only things that leave Framer are the video

you choose to upload and the email you sign in with.

I built this because video kept pushing my own sites into bandwidth trouble.
