About Southpaw
Southpaw is a Framer template for martial arts schools and gyms with a class schedule, built around the one question every beginner has: which class do I walk into first?
Every class gets its own page with the coach who teaches it, what to bring and what happens in the first ten minutes. Coaches have histories, not job titles, and no placeholder text. The demo is a combat sports gym, so your own disciplines are a text and photo change, not a rebuild.
WHO IT IS FOR
Boxing, Muay Thai, BJJ, MMA, karate, judo, kickboxing. Strength rooms, CrossFit boxes, bootcamps. Any studio running a weekly timetable with named coaches that takes beginners.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Add a class, not a page. Classes, coaches, memberships, events and articles are CMS entries. Add one and it shows in the grid, on the home page and on a detail page of its own, coach attached. Relationships, not copies. Rename a coach once and the name, portrait and years follow every class they teach. One set of styles. Eleven color tokens, sixteen text styles. Change the accent once and the whole site repaints. Swap the two Google fonts and it reads as a different brand. Built to be extended. Eighteen components and twelve motion overrides for pages you add later. A beginner funnel, not a brochure. Start Here, a three step first week, a free first class seal. Drawn three times. The nav becomes a drawer, the hero restacks, the week becomes day cards.
WHAT YOU GET
Eleven pages: home, classes, class detail, schedule, coaches, about, journal, article, contact, start here, 404. Six CMS collections, two detail templates, eighteen components, two code files. Twelve motion overrides: wipes, a marquee ticker, a misprint hover, a cursor-following photo. Reduced motion respected. Per page SEO, one h1, alt text everywhere. A guide page inside the project.
SETUP
Remix it, open the CMS, swap eight classes and four coaches. Every color and type decision lives in the style panel. Most gyms go live the same afternoon.
