Broadcast

Broadcast is a portfolio template for independent designers, built around an old TV and a single cobalt blue.

What makes it different

The TV in the hero changes channel with a burst of static when you hover or tap it, cycling through your project covers. An Off air lamp flickers on as you scroll, and the snapshot photo in the About section powers on like an old screen. The cursor turns into View project, Change channel and Next project as it moves around the site. Instead of a standard FAQ, an interview section answers the questions clients ask on a first call.

What's included

Pages: Home, About, Contact, 404 and a project page for every project.

CMS: a Projects collection with title, year, role, location, summary, cover, tags, gallery, story and a featured switch. Featured projects fill the work grid on their own.

Components: Button in four styles, a Submit Button with Sending and Sent states, the Cursor, and three code components (TV Channel, Off Air Lamp, CRT Turn On) you tune from their controls.

Layout template: one shared nav and footer, edited once for every page.

A working contact form, Desktop, Tablet and Phone layouts, colour and text styles, and two free Google Fonts: Instrument Serif and Host Grotesk. Motion respects reduced motion settings.
