Buildlog

Buildlog is a portfolio template for developers, engineers and freelancers, set like a good engineering essay. It uses warm paper, black ink, one orange accent and very large type, with small terminal details such as a typing prompt in the navigation, code-block cards and a git-log style section.

Projects, notes, experience and kind words all run from the CMS, so adding a project or an essay is one new item and you get the index row, the detail page and related items automatically. The home page has 14 sections, including a stack ticker, sticky side columns, a contact form and FAQ accordions, and the 404 page is written as a command that was not found.

It includes 9 pages: Home, Work, Project, Writing, Note, About, Stack, Contact and 404, each with desktop, tablet and phone layouts. The CMS holds Projects (6), Notes (6), Experience (6) and Words (6).

Buildlog is free. The developer, projects and clients in the demo are fictional, and its cover images are drawn in the template itself, so there are no photos to license.
