About Carton
Carton is a website template for moving and removals companies. At its centre is a load calculator: the visitor ticks their furniture room by room, a van fills on screen, and they get the cubic metres, the vehicle, the number of trips and a price band — then carry that inventory straight into the booking form.
Good for
• Local and long-distance removals firms
• Man-and-van operators who want to stop quoting by phone
• Packing, storage and office-move services
Pages
• Home: hero, trust figures, the load calculator, how it works, closing call to action
• Services: six CMS services with a price and rate each, and a detail page listing what is and is not included
• Pricing: a rate table by home size, the four things that change a price, the calculator again
• Areas: eight towns from the CMS with distance from the depot, each with its own page
• Reviews: each carries the route and the move size in cubic metres
• Guides: four CMS articles with detail pages
• Book, About, Contact and 404
Working components
• Load Calculator — 29 real removals volumes across six rooms, three vehicles, distance and extras, with a drawn van that fills from the floor. Switches between m³ and ft³. Every figure is editable in the properties panel.
• Move Summary — reads the calculator's link on the booking page, shows the visitor what they are sending, and puts it in hidden fields so the submission carries the inventory.
Built properly
• Four CMS collections, 24 items
• Colour and text styles throughout, so one change restyles the site
• Desktop, tablet and phone breakpoints
Honest about what it is
• Demo content is invented. The towns, rates and reviews are plausible for a Leeds removals firm, but no such company exists.
• The calculator estimates from volume. It does not connect to a CRM, diary or payment system.
• Item volumes and rates are editable; the arithmetic (call-out + rate per m³ + per km + extras) is fixed.
• No photographs. The template ships with type, colour and the drawn van.
