A black and white portfolio for photographers and filmmakers.

Darkroom opens on you: a full-screen portrait with your name in giant capitals across the bottom and a REC timecode running in the corner. Your work comes straight after, in a big editorial grid. Every photo opens like a camera shutter as it comes into view, and the cursor is an autofocus frame that locks onto each project.

• Shutter: a line of light, two blades part, the picture settles in. Speed, delay, settle and blade colour per photo

• Focus cursor: corner marks that lock onto your projects with a blinking REC light and your label

• Contact sheets: rows of prints that slide sideways as you scroll

• Numbers that count up, a footer name that rises into place, layers that drift faster than the page

• Smooth scrolling, and zero dropped frames in our scroll tests on desktop and phone

• A calm version for visitors who ask for reduced motion
