Hem Tailoring

About Hem Tailoring

Hem is a website template for independent tailors, alteration studios and repair workrooms. It's light and crafted: a tape-measure strip, dashed stitching round the panels, swing-ticket details and a classic serif with typewriter labels.

The price list runs from the CMS. Each service has a category (Trousers, Jackets, Dresses, Repairs), a "from" price, a turnaround, a short note and an express flag, shown as a proper list with dotted leaders. A Lookbook collection holds your recent work with a photo, a title, a note and a tag.

The "Open now" badge reads your opening hours in your time zone. It shows "Open now · until 5:30pm" or the next opening time, such as "Closed · opens at 9:30am", and updates every minute.

The Book a fitting page has a request form (garment, service, what needs doing, the date it's needed by, preferred day, express service and contact details) with loading, success and error states.

Pages: Home (how a fitting works, express service, wedding dress timeline), Alterations and prices, Made to measure (week-by-week process, cloth and prices), Lookbook (with visible mending), Studio (FAQ, hours and map), Book a fitting, Licenses and 404. Every page has its own search title and description, and all are laid out for desktop, tablet and phone.

Getting started:

  1. Change the colours in Assets → Colors (all named Hem/...) and the fonts in Assets → Text Styles.

  2. Replace the services and prices in CMS → Services, and your photos of past work in CMS → Lookbook.

  3. Set your opening hours on the "Open now" badges and in the footer.

  4. Open the form on /book and choose where requests go.

  5. Put your own process, cloth, prices and FAQ answers on /made-to-measure and /studio.

  6. Swap the photos for your own, and put your address in the map on /studio.
