Most developer portfolios are a résumé in disguise. This one is built around the work itself.
The home page runs as a single narrative: what you do, the numbers you can defend, the projects you owned end to end, the stack you actually run in production, and how you work. Case studies live in the CMS, so adding a project is filling in a form, not rebuilding a section.
The look is deliberately technical — one monospace typeface, a visible column grid, an acid accent used sparingly. The hero renders a WebGL particle field driven by your own video, and the Selected Work section moves horizontally as the reader scrolls the page. Both are built to be turned down or off.
Everything is wired to a small design system: eight colour tokens, twelve text presets, four link presets. Change a token and the whole site follows — including the overlay forms, which are on the same system rather than hardcoded.
Done properly, not bolted on afterwards:
Real heading structure, so search engines and screen readers read the page the way a person does
Fully operable from the keyboard, top to bottom
Animations step aside when the visitor's system asks for less motion
Every case study gets its own title, description and social preview image
Every image has a description, every link goes somewhere
