STOP PRESS

About STOP PRESS

STOP PRESS is a newspaper template for newsletters, local papers, magazines, club bulletins and writers who want their site to feel printed rather than posted.

Stories come out in editions. The newest edition is the front page, and older ones go on the rack as back issues. The front page fills like a broadsheet: a lead story, the stories beside it, rows of features and briefs, and a back page of classifieds and corrections. Add a new edition's stories in the CMS and the front page changes by itself.

Four paper stocks (newsprint, bone, night and tabloid) are one click away for readers. One accent colour runs through the whole paper. Photos can be printed as fine black-and-white halftone. When a story is corrected, readers press "Show the edits" and see the red pencil.

The paper is quiet by default. The louder effects are there when you want them: headlines cast in hot metal, pictures that develop as they scroll in, an ink roller across the front page.
