About Upheld
Upheld is for the lawyer whose name is on the door: a sole practitioner or a very small office that acts for people and small businesses.
The page opens on the lawyer, full height, beside one plain sentence. Scroll, and the portrait shrinks into the corner and stays there as a small card with a call button, on every page. Further down, results are told in one word each: "Reinstated.", "Returned.", "Paid.", in a pinned scene that steps through four matters.
Practice areas are written the way clients describe their trouble ("I have lost my job", "My landlord wants me out"). Fees are a table of prices, not a promise to quote. Copy is in the first person throughout, so the site sounds like one lawyer and not a firm.
It is one dark theme in teal with a single light yellow accent, set in Switzer, with hairlines in place of cards. No gavels, no scales, no serif headline.
