Importing from Framer Desktop

You can import your Framer desktop projects into Framer for web.

Importing

To import a Framer project from the desktop, click Import at the top-right of the Dashboard, then click on Framer X This will upload the project and open it in the Editor.

You can also drag and drop one or more Framer desktop projects into the dashboard.

How to import your Framer desktop projects

Folder-Backed Projects

You can only import Framer desktop projects with a .framerx extension. To import folder-backed projects with the .framerfx extension, first convert your project to the .framerx format.

  1. Open the folder-backed project file in Framer's desktop application.
  2. Hold down the Option key and click File > Save As.
  3. In the save window, use the File Format dropdown menu to select Framer X.
