In some cases, such as a splash screen or modal, you want to have a transition happen automatically after a certain amount of time without requiring any user interaction.
Default components and triggers
To achieve such an effect, we can leverage one of the default components in the Insert Menu. Most default components offer more advanced trigger events, such as change for the Slider component or submit for the Input component.
Creating a time-based transition
To achieve time-based transitions, we can use the Loader component. The Loader component can be given a timeout property, meaning it will 'load' for the given duration you specify in the properties panel.
From the Interactions section in the top properties panel, we can add an Interaction with a Timeout trigger which is based upon the specified number of seconds in the properties panel.
After setting this up, the Loader will be triggered to run for the specified number of seconds the moment you enter the screen that contains it. When the timeout elapses, it will automatically transition to the next screen you linked it to.
Tip: set the opacity of your Loader to
0 if you want purely automatic transitions without a loader component.
