Still no sales and no new commissions since the Framer 3.0 update :(

I still think the marketplace update was necessary as we shouldn't rely 100% on a marketplace we have no control over, but I do want to share some feedback.

It's a bit frustrating to see that the top 300 templates on the Framer marketplace get all the views, while everything else gets close to nothing.

It's even more frustrating when one of your templates that used to be really well remixed and had proven its value over a long period of time, now gets very few remixes a day because of a bad ranking.

My fear is that this turns into a vicious cycle:

Bad ranking > fewer views > fewer remixes > even worse ranking

I hope I'm wrong but let me know what you think!

It takes me forever to ship a template. I question every choice, and I always come back to the same one: would I actually use this myself?

I'd rather refine my old templates over and over than start something new. How do you manage this? Ship as many as you can, or stay ruthless about each one?

Posting about my work every day this week has felt genuinely uncomfortable. Putting yourself out there is way harder than "just" designing the actual thing.

But I'm starting to think that discomfort is the whole point. Not stopping!

It's Saturday and I'm reworking a template instead of resting.

Not because I have to but because it's the first thing I've built that actually feels like mine.

Funny how "work" stops feeling like work the second no one's making you do it.

This week, I'm starting to build my own site to host all my templates. I'm going to release that site as a template too.

So it has to be something I'd genuinely run my own business on. Hard to set the bar higher than that!
