Framer community is literally amazing....
But it misses some of the most important features that really make a fine community
1. Bookmarks - Framer community doesn't have the feature to save posts currently, I literally have to screenshot all the posts or inspirations that I may look at in the future.
2. Drafts - If framer really wants to become a community like Contra or X, framer literally needs to have a feature to save drafts. Because designers are now starting to treat it as a new social media, they want to make an audience here - so they really need a feature to draft their raw idea and make a post out of it later, people really can't afford to miss their greatest ideas.
3. Direct Messages - Framer doesn't have the direct message feature right now, it is really difficult to contact fellow creators in the community, and even if we want to, contacting them just means replying in long threads under their posts. Though direct messages really bring in a lot of spams & outreach messages, but preventing them to some extent is also possible as well, also direct messages could really open designers to do many leads they're missing.
4. Images in replies - Adding images in replies is not currently possible in framer, we can only add images in our posts, that makes things really difficult sometimes when we are in a thread of replies with someone and want to show them something, cuz we can't even DM them and can't add images until we post as well so it just simply means we can never show them that image until we make a post.
5. Zoom images - Framer community is a community of creatives and not having a zoom feature is really not imaginable, a zoom in feature would really help creative people take quality inspiration and produce high quality creative work as well
Framer had a really big problem...the credits in agents burned out real quick
In just two messages I burned the whole credit limit for the day but yea it did the job of 50 messages in just two messages
But still it was not enough, so just connected Cursor to framer, ran antigravity & codex in my own terminal - all for free and now I can just code unlimited....and make any components I need for my templates (Really big achievement for me who doesn't knew the word "terminal" till yesterday)
And yea...I'll still use agents in framer canvas because they're just magical🥰
Guys, just connected Gemini CLI to framer, and it seems literally exciting check it out what it's saying
It's just next level framer...❤️🔥
Even though I hate the fact that there's no review process in the marketplace now...
But I am still loving this new creator space, and because of that I really wanna document my journey here rather than X
X is good but framer community has it's own vibe of fellow creators...who are in the same game as you and they understand and relate each and every single thing with you
Documenting my journey here will build my connection with this amazing community & I want it really bad to have these connections with all of you guys 💝
Framer really has done a great job making this community and giving us such an amazing opportunity to document our journey, but still there are many people who are just using this as a tool to market their products and stuff which is what my feed is totally filled from...and really I am hating it
But yea there are good creators out here as well who are posting high quality work and documenting every piece of their journey here...just like they do on X
So yea, it's final....
I am going to document my journey of making templates in this community and if by any case, you're with me and are trying to document your journey instead of just making promotions here...then let's just do this
Thanks to the community ❣
Thanks to framer as well...but yea I would still prefere bringing back the review process of the marketplace
Hey guys, the Framer 3.0 seems amazing...
There's just one negative update and that's removing the review process of the marketplace
Framer has valued it's creators since the start and is still doing so...and that's why many creators just run their homes just be pushing templates to the marketplace
By adding framer community and stuff and combining it with the marketplace...framer has done a great job valuing it's creators
But still:
– There will be more competition in the crowd of generic templates
– New buyers confused
– Heavy revenue drops
I was gonna publish my first template to the marketplace and thought if it just entered the marketplace I would make some money but now the criteria of just entering the marketplace has moved up a lot and I may need to try out many other things to just get some sales... that's what I think
Framer gathered 5000+ templates over couple of years but now it may gather 5000 in just 6 months
Well that's all I think...everything else is literally amazing in the framer's new update
Maybe bring back the review process for trh good of creators but yea other features of the community are excellent and the sites feature gives a very good potential to generate leads for creators
Thanks framer....
