Last section! I decided I will be releasing the full site as a template-version in the future for Framer Creators to use.
Feature sections never get enough love. They always get boing icons. I'm thinking 5 second video here to sell the idea instead. Kinda like a tomato sauce in the store SHOWING a tomato on the label.
Has anyone figured out how to run an offline open source model for Framer? like Ollama does for chat? For simple edits at the end of the month it would be kinda nice to have that option.
Cleaning up our hero. I'm thinking of going with a topographic map kinda theme through-out
Upgrading the logo to something a bit cleaner and design themed. Apparently I'm a sucker for pink and purple
Down and to the right, this is the way.
(Not me) but I found this story of this Framer template builder really real and honest. No crazy, claims of making money overnight. Just solid honest work with real ups and downs.
Booking section comes next! Really like https://Cal.com for this. (just a fan) Just an easy embed and it's free!
Building our new site in Framer. Opening up soon for client work.
Observations after looking at 100s of templates:
Framer tends to feature templates that are:
- FREE
- have animated heroes
- have big bold heros with big type
Before And After : Framer Marketplace Redesign
Rather than continue to complain about Framer Marketplace, I decided to design my own version optimized for sales.
if any Framer peeps dig any ideas in here, please steal this. I think it could help
It seems like higher “liked” and “comment count" Framer templates get more attention and are a proxy for social proof, (At least that’s how I see it) I think they also get ranked higher in the results.
Which creates this little pocket of template sellers “Liking, commenting, and following” other sellers. With short stuff like “amazing work =)" with the hope that the other seller with reciprocate and “like” their content as well so they can get that boost.
New numbered timeline component ! More focused on the tech audience. Kinda just testing to see if theres demand for some of the components I've already made in different use / cases categories.
Working on a new version of the timeline component from Wildbloom.
Seems there’s no real checks on that accuracy of categories in Framer Marketplace, so you get a bunch of “mislabeling” or “category stuffing”. Which results in me getting results for a “conference website” when I search or “environmental” templates.
Other categories are a bit more helpful like: Technology -> Saas, Startup, AI, App. But they’re so intertwined and so commonly tagged together that they’re essentially just one big category.
