Users starting compliance onboarding had no idea what documents they'd need until they hit upload screens and got stuck.

This created drop-off before users even started the actual onboarding process.

We designed welcome screens that set clear expectations upfront about what documents users will need before they begin. The screens show a complete list of required documents with brief explanations of what each one is, giving users time to gather everything before starting.

The design challenge was presenting this information without overwhelming users or making the onboarding feel complicated before they even begin. We used progressive disclosure and visual hierarchy to make the list feel manageable.

Document scanning is a technical process that happens in the background. Users have no way of knowing if it worked unless the interface tells them.

We designed the extraction animation to make the scanning and extraction sequence visible in real time, showing users the system actively working through their document.

The design choice was to use progressive visual feedback rather than a loading spinner. The goal is to build trust in an automated system by making it feel transparent.

Most managers walk into difficult conversations having read an employee file. Coach tells you how they think, how they tend to respond under pressure, and what they need to hear before they can move forward.

Coach is a B2B SaaS AI coaching platform that gives managers a virtual version of their teammate to rehearse with before the real conversation happens. The AI pulls from Slack, Notion, Workday, email, and calendar, plus personality data and past 1:1 history, to build a profile that mirrors how this specific person communicates and responds.

The simulation is where the practice happens.

You've seen the profile, you know what this person needs, now you get to rehearse the conversation before having it for real.

The AI generates responses based on everything it knows about this teammate, personality, history, how they tend to react.

A timer keeps the session focused. When you're done, you get instant feedback: Did you make the objective clear? Did you discuss next steps?

The design choice here was to close the loop fast. Practice, feedback, adjust. Skip waiting or lengthy reports, instead only a quick summary that tells you what landed and what didn't so you can go again or exit the scenario in the SaaS AI coaching platform.

The aim here was to show progress in a way that feels interesting.

We wanted something experimental, a bit more visual and unusual (even flashy) than what you typically see in enterprise software.

The result is an interactive timeline that shows how someone's skills are evolving over time. You can see the overall trajectory at a glance, then tap into any skill to watch it fluctuate across weeks or months. Aspects like communication, composure, confidence, each one broken down into sub-skills like verbal communication, active listening, written communication.

The summary tells you what's improved and what still needs work. But the design choice here was aesthetic as much as functional.

Practice a difficult conversation before you actually have it. We designed a virtual character that feels like the person you are about to talk to.

The profile screen pulls from Slack, Notion, Workday, email, and calendar to build a picture of how Jeremy communicates, what drives him, and how he tends to respond under pressure.

The design choice was to make the profile feel like a person. Each scenario comes with a goal and the leadership skills it targets, communication, ownership, and decision confidence. When you walk into the real conversation, you have already had a trial run.

The scroll animation was designed to make that depth feel natural to navigate. Personality data, past 1:1 history, focus areas, and session history all shown in sequence without overwhelming the user.

Coach gives managers everything they need to walk into a difficult conversation prepared. The platform helps reduce poor leadership decisions and build managers who lead with confidence.

Augment is a B2B SaaS website design project for an AI automation platform built for the logistics industry. Augie is an AI agent that works with brokers, freight operators, and carriers individually on their workflows. Pixel One designed the full product website to introduce Augie to an industry encountering AI for the first time.

We designed the website to show each section answer a specific question a logistics visitor would have. The abstracted UI and chat interface at the end defined the visual language for the use case animations across the entire product. Augment raised a $25M seed round followed by an $85M Series A five months later. Augie now supports over $35 billion in freight under management.

Logistics is not one industry. A freight brokerage runs differently from an FTL carrier and an LTL operation has different daily pressures than a B2B distributor. A single website serving all of them has to make each visitor feel like the product was built specifically for their operation.

The strategic decision was to give each type of logistics company its own row with a specific description of what Augie handles for them. Not a generic value proposition that could apply to anyone. A direct callout of the specific job Augie does for that specific role.

A visitor who runs a freight brokerage should feel like they are reading about their business. A B2B distributor should feel the same way. The section was designed so that every type of logistics company landing on the page finds themselves in it before they reach the CTA.

The core of Augment's business strategy is that logistics teams should not have to change how they work. Augie comes to where work already happens rather than asking teams to adopt a new platform.

The design challenge was communicating that without listing it. A list of compatible platforms tells the visitor what is possible. Showing Augie inside a real Slack conversation, responding to a real request with useful output, tells them what it feels like. The visitor sees Augie thinking and responding inside a tool they already open every morning. The message lands without needing to be stated. Nothing changes in how the team works. Augie just shows up inside it.

This section was built entirely around: demonstrating the integration. A founder reading this page does not need to imagine what the product does. They see it happening.

The strategic challenge for the full website was sequencing. A logistics leader landing on this page may understand the problem Augie solves but not yet understand what AI actually does for their team day to day.

Each section was built to answer one specific question in the order a visitor would naturally ask it. What does Augie do. Does it work with the tools we already use. Is it built for our specific type of operation.

Green runs through every section consistently, carrying the same brand language from trade show booth to digital so the brand feels the same wherever the audience encounters Augment. The grid gives the page rhythm without making it feel rigid, each section carrying its own structure while elements occasionally cross between them.

The hero had to introduce Augie to an audience that has never encountered this kind of AI before without overwhelming them in the first three seconds.

The decision was to lead with typography and trust rather than features. Large type states the value clearly. Eight recognizable logistics brands below the headline signal that Augie is already proven at scale with single CTA.

As the visitor scrolls, the hero animates and Augie's capabilities reveal themselves in plain language. The scroll animation was a strategic choice. AI is still unfamiliar territory for most logistics teams and the goal was to make that first encounter feel comfortable rather than technical.

Augie now supports over $35 billion in freight under management across dozens of shippers and brokerages.

Augie has no fixed interface of its own. It lives inside whatever system a logistics team already runs, which created a specific design challenge: how do you show something visually when the product has no fixed home?

The answer was to build abstracted UI that puts the brand guidelines into practice as a working chat interface. We aimed to show founders what Augie does in one glance without requiring them to read a feature description or sit through a demo.

Both light and dark versions are shown side by side. This was also a styling exercise. The visual language defined here became the foundation for every use case animation across the product, giving the entire website a consistent feel even though Augie itself appears in many different environments.

For a product that lives inside other products, making it visible was the entire design job.

Color in logistics defaults to black, yellow, red, and blue, particularly in the trade show and events environment where a large part of Augment's audience first encounters brands in this space.

Augment's audience attends a lot of in-person events and the brand needed to stand out on a booth floor as much as on a website. Green did that work in both contexts, making the brand feel like a breath of fresh air in a space dominated by darker, heavier colors.

For a company asking an industry to trust a new kind of AI, it was important to be approachable.

A few supporting colors and gradients add variety across mediums, used sparingly so the green stays dominant and the brand stays recognizable.

A good brand mark has to work everywhere the product shows up.

The mark was designed to adapt across every medium it appears in. Digital surfaces, product interfaces, and large format interactive billboards at logistics industry events all require different things from a logo. The mark holds up across all of them without modification.

Because the mark is translucent, it reads differently depending on where it sits, lighter and more open on white, denser on dark, bold at large format, and the adaptation works without changing anything about the shape itself.

The final mark had to show: a sense of motion for the AI loading state, a connection to the logistics industry, and a visual expression of what augmentation means.

The truck wheel became the reference point for the industry tie-in. The six-petal form with a gear shape at the center reads as a simplified truck rim, which also happens to read as a settings icon. That worked in our favor. Augie handles back-office operations, the same job settings handle in most software.

One detail emerged during the process rather than being planned. The overlapping petals create a third shape where two meet, expressing two things combining into something new. That is close to what augmentation means and we leaned into it once we saw it working.

The gradient builds consistent circular motion, like light spinning around the shape, reinforcing the loading state concept across every touchpoint.

During the logo process for Augment, we developed this alternate animation in parallel with the final direction.

The recurring theme that kept coming back was symmetry. We kept thinking about how that would apply to the trucking industry and that's where the truck wheel came in. We put a lot of our explorations there.

What was missing from this one was movement. The shape was there but it wasn't going anywhere so we pushed towards using color and gradient to create that sense of direction. As we added clockwise motion to the final version, it started feeling polished.

The brief for this logo was unlike most. The mark needed to communicate what the product does, animate across different AI states, and connect to an industry.

AI introduces a new kind of waiting in software. When an agent is thinking or processing, something has to hold the user's attention and signal that work is happening. Most products solve this with a generic spinner. We designed the brand mark to be that loading state, so every time Augie is thinking, the logo is working.

We went through a lot before anything clicked. Symmetrical, geometric shapes ended up being the answer because they can shift and animate without losing their identity. The gaps and proportions can change and the mark still reads as one coherent thing. That felt right for Augie, which works across a lot of different surfaces but stays as one coherent system.
