Just working on aa recent e-commerce concept for a premium furniture brand, smpl Studio. I really wanted to push a warm, editorial aesthetic while keeping the browsing experience buttery smooth.

Framer hell I don't think the biggest issue is just the ranking algorithm it's the ecosystem that's forming around it.
A lot of templates today are slight variations of what's already successful. The marketplace ends up rewarding familiarity, so creators naturally follow trends instead of taking creative risks. As a buyer, I want to discover something new, not scroll through the same design with different colors.
Established creators usually have agencies, freelance work, products, or audiences outside the marketplace. If template sales slow down, they still have other revenue streams.
Smaller independent creators often don't. For many of them, template sales are the business. When discovery becomes harder and originality isn't rewarded, they're the ones who feel the impact the most.
A healthy marketplace should make room for both proven bestsellers and genuinely new creators. Otherwise, people eventually stop experimenting because they don't believe their work has a real chance of being seen.
Better discovery, more diversity, and rewarding originality would benefit creators, customers, and Framer itself.
