I have one serious observation regarding the Marketplace experience.
New template discovery and search flow feels heavily optimized for creators or users who are already more familiar with Framer. However, first-time visitors, business owners, marketers, startup founders, project managers, and other non-technical users may find it difficult to discover the right template quickly.
Key Areas for Improvement:
→Make Categories More Prominent:
- Template categories should be highly visible and easily accessible.
- Users should be able to browse templates by industry, use case, or business type without relying solely on search.
→Improve Search Discoverability:
- The search bar should be more prominent within the Marketplace.
- Users should instantly understand where to search for templates.
→Separate Search Results by Context:
- When a user is browsing the Templates section, search results should prioritize and display templates only.
- Community posts, resources, and other content types should not dominate the results when the user's intent is clearly template discovery.
→Reduce Distractions:
- Mixing templates with community content during search creates confusion.
- Too many unrelated results can overwhelm users and cause them to leave the platform before finding what they need.
→Design for Actual Buyers:
- Template creators are not the primary buyers of templates.
- The typical buyers are marketers, startup founders, agencies, designers, project managers, and business owners.
- The Marketplace experience should be optimized for how these users search, browse, compare, and purchase templates.
→Create a More Guided Discovery Experience:
- Users should be able to explore templates effortlessly through categories, filters, recommendations, and industry-specific collections.
- Discovery should feel intuitive and frictionless, even for someone completely new to Framer.
