Wood Conference 2026 is a multilingual Framer website for Estonia’s annual timber architecture and construction conference.

I created the visual direction, website design and Framer development around the 2026 theme, One person. One block. One touch. The central 3D cube translates that idea into an interactive visual element, supported by scroll-driven transitions, motion details and custom CTA interactions throughout the site.

The site is built as a practical event platform, not just a campaign landing page. Speakers and related content are managed through Framer CMS, while the multilingual structure keeps the conference accessible to both Estonian and international audiences.

Photography, video content, conference copy and messaging were provided by the organiser. My role covered the conference visual direction, UI/UX design and Framer development.

A customizable 3D card carousel for Framer with circular layouts, drag and swipe interaction, momentum, snapping, clickable cards, responsive scaling, and touch support.

Built for portfolios, case studies, product showcases, galleries, team pages, featured content, and interactive Framer websites where a standard horizontal slider feels a little too ordinary.

Three 3D orientation modes

Face Cards continuously rotate to face the viewer as they travel around the circular path. This creates the cleanest and most readable presentation, making it ideal for portfolio projects, case studies, products, articles, or any carousel where the content should remain front-facing.

Torus Cards rotate together with the circular ring, creating a more physical and sculptural 3D object. The carousel feels closer to an actual rotating wheel or torus in space, with stronger perspective and more dramatic movement.

Plane Cards keep a fixed orientation while their position moves around the 3D circle. This produces a different spatial effect where the geometry of the carousel becomes more visible and the cards feel suspended within the scene.

Interaction

Drag with a mouse or swipe horizontally on touch devices to rotate the carousel.

Momentum creates a natural inertial movement after release, while optional snapping smoothly brings the nearest card into focus.

Clicking or tapping a side card brings it to the front. Once a card is centered, its own Framer link or interaction remains active, so the entire card can work naturally as a project, product, article, or navigation link.

Vertical touch gestures remain available for normal page scrolling.

Doing #FramerChallenge here. And its ending with not so good results for me.

Nevertheless, what I actually want to say to other creators is that

A) The template game is long-term. Most affiliates come with a delay.

Some buy right away yet usually it takes time for people to build the site.

So if you don't see the results fast keep going. Play the long game. Adapt to changes.

(I need to work harder here as metrics of my templates have really dropped and next weeks are probably miserable in terms of motivation here too.)

B) I still believe there is market for templates and its worth to build it.

My heart has always been on doing 1:1 client work. Build custom sites to clients. And I have turned off quite few projects where people want template customisation. I rather build my own templates if no Framer client work.

Even yesterday, someone reached out. They had a Claude prototype and wanted to customise a template. This is the new norm. Ai is part of the toolset. It helps people to form briefs and ideas. Yet currently there is still a need for someone who takes this input and polishes it into a strong working Framer site. Your knowledge matters.

Small details matter. And people pay for this.

Friends, hear me out.

I like experimenting with Framer. And here is a new test. Or can I even call it a test?

So far, I have launched 7 free templates. Now I have added one paid one.

I started with the paid one and had an enlightenment about a new style and direction.

Let’s be honest, the free one is simpler in complexity and CMS setup. Yet it feels like a strong base for a boutique dental clinic. I finished it quickly, got it reviewed easily, and it reached the top of the category with a good amount of remixes. Surprisingly.

Most remixes probably came from other creators, but this morning I also got a nice 3-figure commission email from Dub.co.

Now the paid one. Blueish.

My goal was to create the best dental clinic Framer template.

“Best” is vague. I wanted something that helps clinics launch fast, look modern, and has a strong CMS for services, team members, and locations. Medical team pages get tons of traffic.

I feel $99 is fair. But as this is my first paid template, I honestly don’t know. Would appreciate your thoughts.

I also want to keep it less commoditized, so each clinic can still look branded. For a serious business, the difference between $49 and $99 is not huge. A new website is already an investment.

The experiment

Part of me hopes the blue one does not get buried. Every template needs views to be discovered.

So I am curious. Does spending more time crafting something complex and asking for money work better? Or does the free template spread further and eventually bring more $$$?

They are branded differently, though. The paid one is closer to a classic dental clinic. The free one is more medspa.

Designing is fun. And often there is no right or wrong.

Yesterday I bragged in X how one of my template is very high quality and the other is just basic. I still believe it is very much so.

Yet @Nejat Seçkin Oral shared some of the roasts. And from another viewpoint I know he was also very much right. So I had to deal with this.

I feel that even giving away free templates we have some kind of responsibility. Good design is achieved throughout multiple iterations. Feedback. And updates. So I just had to dig in and update my template. Even though it might rank in 9000 position I know someone will use it. And I truly hope that it helps them to build a website that brings results to their company.
