Moving past the "AI credit" fatigue — why I built AltWise (Before framer 3.0)
Seeing a lot of conversation lately about whether the Framer marketplace is shifting too far into AI-credit-heavy products. It’s a fair critique. There is a clear divide between "AI for the sake of AI" and tools that actually solve tedious, repetitive design workflows.
When I started AltWise, my goal wasn't to chase a trend; it was to fix the part of my workflow I hated the most: manual image SEO. Spending hours writing alt text for large CMS collections is a time-suck that kills momentum. But now agent can do that task but not effectively like Altwise do. You can try yourself on project which has more then 500+ images it will fail and consume lot of your credits.
My perspective? Don’t waste your agent credits on simple tasks.
Framer agents are costly, and those credits are even costlier. You should be reserving your agent’s "heavy lifting" for the tasks that actually matter: generating CMS content, editing multi-page sections, redesigning complex layouts, or handling light/dark mode implementations.
If you are looking to save your Agent Credits for heavy task for the real complex work, check out AltWise:
