Andrei Gorskikh is a UI designer and team lead working across digital products, Web3, e-commerce, fintech, and tech.
The goal was to create a portfolio that doesn't just show the work, but also gives you a sense of how Andrei thinks and works.
There was a lot to show.
With 40+ projects across different industries, simply putting everything into a grid would make the portfolio feel like a collection of screenshots.
The challenge was making the work easy to explore while still giving the portfolio its own personality.
I treated the portfolio more like a digital product than a traditional resume.
The homepage introduces Andrei and his approach first, then moves into selected projects, expertise, experience, skills, and awards.
The project section does most of the heavy lifting. Each project gives enough context to understand what Andrei actually worked on — from UX research and UI design to design systems, art direction, and development.
One thing I wanted to avoid was making it feel like an agency website.
The portfolio is about the person behind the work, so the design leaves room for his personality, working principles, experience, and the way he approaches digital products.
The result is a portfolio that feels less like a list of skills and more like a look into the designer's work.
A portfolio built to do more than display good-looking screens.
It gives the work context, shows the range of projects, and makes it easy to understand what Andrei brings to a project.
The work is the main character. The website just makes it easier to get into it.
