Bajane

This is the website of BAJANE, a first-class architect office specializing in traditional Japanese timber houses. The site is built around architectural photography. The landing page consists of a full-screen photo slider with a single line of copy and an ENTER button, and the menu is left out, so that visitors first come face to face with the buildings. A pale blue-gray background, deep slate-colored type and an elegant typeface create a calm, traditional atmosphere that suits the subject. The works page is a grid of photo cards, each labeled as a new build or a renovation and accompanied by its location.
