Mecone

Mecone, part of a16z speedrun, builds continuously updating benchmark indices for assets that have never had a live price, starting with macro indicators like CPI, GDP and unemployment. The indices are licensed to exchanges and institutions as reference prices for perpetual derivatives.

What we did

We designed Mecone’s brand and website.

• A light-mode, institutional identity in off-white and Mecone orange, distinct from the dark-mode norm in finance and crypto

• A live index ticker on the homepage showing real-time benchmark values

• A CMS-driven Benchmarks page with category filters and individual index pages

• Team, Contact and Privacy pages, built responsive and with SEO in mind
