What if moving your cursor could turn a website into an interactive gallery? π
I built Image Trail Effects, a new interactive component for Framer.
Instead of a traditional image hover interaction, this component creates animated image trails that respond to cursor movement.
It includes 6 different reveal effects:
π₯ Flame β Rotating image reveals
πͺ Venetian β Animated horizontal strips
π Curtain β Sliding vertical reveals
⬑ Hexagon β Geometric image transitions
π§ Liquid β Organic circular reveals
β¨ Zoom Split β Fragmented grid animations
What you can customize:
β Your own image collection
β Image size and cursor sensitivity
β Animation speed, timing, and stagger
β Background colors and corner radius
β Image limits for performance
Built with reduced-motion support, static previews, and Framer property controls.
Perfect for creative portfolios, photography websites, agencies, and interactive landing pages.
I'd love to know: Which of the six effects is your favorite?
