Framer 3.0 quietly killed the template review process. Templates now publish instantly, no queue, no approval. The Marketplace has been merged into the new Framer Community, and discovery is being reshaped from the ground up.
That's why templates that were sitting on page one a few days ago have suddenly disappeared. The old ranking is gone, and a new moderation-based system is taking its place.
I get the intent. The old review system had bottlenecks, was slow, and made it harder for new creators to break in. Opening it up gives more people a shot, and that's genuinely a good thing.
But here's the concern every creator is feeling right now:
→ How do quality templates stay visible when anything can be published instantly?
→ What signals will the new ranking actually reward?
→ How do existing creators rebuild traction when their old rankings are wiped overnight?
→ And critically, how do buyers separate the polished from the rushed?
I'm not against change. I'm genuinely excited about Framer 3.0, the Agents, the Branching, the new Community. It's brilliant work.
But the Marketplace is where many of us have built our craft, our income, and our reputation over years. Wiping the discovery layer without a clear replacement is a big ask.
Curious what the rest of the Framer creator community thinks. Is this the start of something better, or a fish market in the making?
