I've tried out the new Agents.
Here is an unbiased view.
Sidenote:
i've created the design before in Figma, so the agent did not come up with it itself.
Also the work is not finished, I just ran out of credits.
----------
Pro:
- This took me only 3 prompts, which is insane.
- Fully hooked up to the CMS. I did not touch it once.
- Everything functional (animations and interactions have to be finetuned)
- This literally took me 15 minutes
Con:
- I ran out of credit after 3 prompts
- The workflow is boring to me
- What gets created is a blackbox for beginners
- General -
Overall it's insane what Framer agents can do.
You point and say "do this" and it just works.
- Workflow-
I personally dislike this type of work.
I enjoy the process of building something which will fully change with AI.
The "talk and lean back" workflow is boring to me.
But that's personal and i know it's a workflow that is here to stay.
I know you can decide for what and how intensive you want to use the agents but if you want to stay competitive you have to leverage them.
- Blackbox -
The agents are obviously not perfect.
If you are a beginner using agents it can seem like a blackbox for you.
For now you still need to be able to understand framer to check what was done and maybe even improve it.
----------
Running out of credits in the blink of an eye was expected. Nonetheless super powerful stuff.
Next up Framer with external Claude MCP.
