I set myself a goal to get better at building websites with pure code, without Framer, Webflow, or any other platform. For now I’m just experimenting with a small playground project and trying to build something more creative. But so far, I feed the AI website references, images, explain what I want, and the results are honestly terrible 😅 Nothing close to what I have in mind. I know people who get great results with basically prompting + references, so I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. I’m using Codex for this, while it seems like most people doing this kind of work use Claude Code. Could that actually make a difference, or am I just doing something wrong? Would really appreciate any tips from people who’ve figured this out 🙏
