About Companion

Companion puts any object you want alongside your cursor — following with real spring physics, facing where it's going, dropping a trail that fades, and resting when you rest.

Not a novelty cursor. A premium, physics-based companion built to behave on real sites.

WHAT IT DOES

- Drop in anything — a shoe, mascot, logo, product, planet. Your object, following the pointer with weighted spring physics.

- Faces its direction — banks and rotates into turns, or crossfades a left/right image pair (no mirroring).

- Moves only when you move — a velocity-scaled gait that rests at zero when the pointer stops.

- A trail that fades — footprints, dots, glow, or your own image. Never leaks a node, never drops a frame.

- Idle behaviour — rests, drifts, or fades when you pause; wakes when you move.

BUILT TO BEHAVE

- Ducks out of the way over buttons, links and inputs — never blocks a click.

- Desktop only — renders nothing on touch, keeps the native cursor.

- Respects reduced-motion. SSR-safe. 60fps, pooled trail nodes, zero leaks.

~25 property controls, and 4 ready-made objects (Dart, Wisp, Rover, Moon) — plus drop in your own.
