About Glyphlight

Glyphlight is a code-based animated background for Framer that renders light as living ASCII characters. They glow, drift and react to the cursor, so your hero section gets motion without video or heavy assets.

Choose from four patterns: Horizon (light glowing over a dark curve), Drift (soft flowing clouds of light), Orbit (a ring of light around a dark center) and Ribbons (flowing bands of characters).

Everything is controlled from the property panel, with no code editing needed:

  • Four-color gradient plus a background color (Framer color tokens supported)

  • Optional pattern switcher buttons, so visitors can change the pattern live. You can set their position, size, radius and colors

  • Custom character ramp: use ASCII, binary, blocks or your own set

  • Cell size, density, intensity, scale and softness

  • Speed, flicker, glow, film grain and a variation seed

  • Optional cursor effect that scrambles characters under the pointer, with adjustable radius

  • Optional intro reveal and a font field for any monospace font

Built for production: canvas-based with no dependencies, pauses when off-screen, respects reduced-motion settings, and shows a still frame on the Framer canvas.

Perfect for SaaS and AI landing pages, developer portfolios, agencies and product launches.
