About PhaseOrbit
PhaseOrbit is a scroll-driven dual-orbit carousel for Framer, captions circle on one side, images circle on the other, phase-shifted against each other so they roll in sync instead of spinning as one flat ring.
Every other orbit carousel on the marketplace rotates a single ring of items. PhaseOrbit runs two independent circular tracks at once, offset by a configurable phase, so a caption and its image arrive at the front slightly apart, a rolling feel no single-ring carousel produces.
WHAT IT DOES
Pin a scroll section and add caption-and-image pairs. As the visitor scrolls, both orbits rotate together, each item scaling and brightening as it nears the front of its circle, then receding as it passes. On mobile, it falls back to a clean two-column grid.
KEY FEATURES
Two independent circular orbits, phase-shifted against each other
Scroll-driven rotation, pinned section responds directly to scroll position
Cosine-based depth calc, smooth focus and recede, not a hard cut
Adjustable orbit radius, card size, and scroll length
Configurable focus sharpness for the front item
Independent resting scale and opacity for background items
Automatic mobile fallback to a simple two-column grid layout
Static-safe rendering for the Framer canvas and thumbnails
Full typography and color controls
Zero third-party dependencies beyond Framer Motion
WHY IT WORKS
A single rotating ring is a familiar effect by now. Two orbits moving in phase-shifted sync reads as choreography, not just rotation, giving a section considered motion design instead of a stock carousel effect.
PERFECT FOR
Brand storytelling sections, portfolio project reveals, editorial scroll experiences, and any Framer site wanting scroll motion beyond a standard spinning carousel.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
A single drop-in component. Add caption and image pairs, then tune orbit radius, phase shift, scroll length, and colors through property controls.
Drop it in, add your pairs, and let the orbits roll.
