Threshold Preloader

Threshold is a preloader that tracks what the browser is actually loading instead of running a countdown.

Most preloaders play for a fixed duration no matter how fast the page arrives. That hides content the browser has already painted and inflates your Largest Contentful Paint. Threshold exits the moment loading finishes, so on a fast connection it is gone almost immediately.

Progress is weighted across three real signals: images decoded, webfonts ready, and the window load event. A hard timeout guarantees an exit even if a third party script hangs.

Four counter styles including a liquid fill with a moving wave, a progress ring, a word cycler, a logo, and a progress bar. Seven exit animations plus a staggered column reveal. Frequency control is built in, so once per session or once per day needs no code override.

Frozen on the canvas, reduced motion respected, and every element is optional.
