About This Component

Vimeo Fit Cover allows you to display any Vimeo video as a perfectly responsive cover inside your layouts.

Unlike standard Vimeo embeds, the video automatically adapts to the container using a true fit cover behavior, ensuring a clean, edge-to-edge result with no black bars, regardless of the aspect ratio.

It works seamlessly for hero backgrounds, sections, or custom layouts, making it easy to integrate high-quality Vimeo content into any design while preserving a polished visual experience.

The component also includes a Start Time option, allowing playback to begin at a specific moment in the video. This is especially useful when you want to skip intros, focus on a particular sequence, or create more intentional visual storytelling.

Vimeo Behavior

To achieve a true fit cover behavior, the Vimeo player is resized beyond its default proportions.

Because of this, Vimeo player controls and interface elements are hidden, allowing the video to behave like a visual layer rather than a traditional embedded player.

The component is designed primarily for immersive background usage, where the video becomes part of the design itself.
