Why I built it

Framer's native Vimeo component is great to save significant bandwidth for your site, however, the video is not fully filled (responsive) with your design frame, having loader at the begin and no fallback thumbnail.

This component wraps that complexity into one clean, reusable piece - perfect if you're building website with dynamic video content in background. And it helps you save a lot of bandwidth.

What it does

• Drop-in Vimeo background video for hero sections - no iframe hacks, no messy responsive breakage

• Fully CMS-bindable: paste a Vimeo URL into a CMS field and it just works, no manual re-setup per page/collection item

• Autoplay, loop, and mute handled out of the box (browser-compliant)

• Smooth fade in transition at the begin

• Lightweight - leans on Vimeo's adaptive streaming instead of hosting raw MP4s on Framer, so your site stays fast and saves your bandwidth
