About Galley
Galley takes every word on your Framer site out into one plain text file, and puts the edited words back where they came from.
The person who writes the copy does not need a Framer seat, a login, or a tour of your layer names. They get a text file, they edit it in whatever they already use, and they send it back.
What it collects
• Text layers on every page, with a readable trail like /about › Hero › Heading
• CMS text and rich-text fields, item by item
• Repeated breakpoints are skipped, so a sentence that appears on desktop, tablet and phone shows up once, not three times
Putting it back
Drop the edited file in and Galley shows you every change first — what it was, what it becomes, and where it lands. Nothing is written until you say so. Anything it cannot change is reported rather than silently skipped.
Markers are the only thing that has to survive editing. Delete a whole entry and that one is simply left alone.
Free
Everything is free: the export file, the clipboard copy, the whole project, and writing the edited file back.
Honest about what it is
• Text inside a component is owned by the component, so a write there can be refused — it is reported when that happens
• Formatting inside a sentence is left as it is; the file carries words, not bold and italic
The file is written on your machine and read back from it. The plugin makes no network requests.
