Arca Buro

About Arca Buro

A Swiss-minimal template for architecture, landscape and interior studios that want their portfolio to read like a set of drawings. A strict grid, oversized type against small mono labels, hairlines, dimension lines and technical callouts — and project photos that develop out of a dithered print as you hover.

ARCA is built around one idea: let the work be read slowly. Every project lives in the CMS, so the home page, the index table and the project pages update together, and a single Featured switch decides which projects get a large row.

Key features

  • 3 pages: Home, Project page (CMS) and 404, with a shared header and footer

  • Projects collection: index, location, year, typology, status, area, client, team, coordinates, drawing number, summary, cover, gallery and rich text

  • Dithered previews: a WebGL shader turns photos into ink-on-paper prints; the real photo develops on hover through a lens or a dissolve, and at mid-screen on touch

  • Technical callouts: hover a marker to draw a leader line with notes

  • Dimension lines that measure themselves and draw in on scroll

  • CAD cursor with live X/Y coordinates, a "View project" state and a light version for the dark footer

  • Headline lines that slide apart as you scroll

  • Marker highlight that sweeps behind a word in the hero

  • Interactive footer wordmark: variable-font letters gain weight and size under the cursor

  • Featured project rows with spec tables, a card grid and an index table with inverted hover rows

  • Project page with spec sheet, full-width cover, text, gallery and next-project link

  • Responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and phone. Effects respect reduced motion and adapt to touch.

  • Shared colour and text styles, favicon, social image and a Start here guide inside the project

  • Fonts: Switzer (ITF Free Font License) and Geist Mono (SIL OFL). Dither shader adapted from dithering-shader by Niccolo Fanton (MIT).
