Aside

Aside is a Framer portfolio template for product and UX designers. Its idea is a commentary track: one switch in the header shows numbered notes beside your work, in your own voice. Visitors can read a case study in two minutes, or turn the commentary on and hear why each decision was made.

What's inside:

• Case studies with a pinned story. Each section's screen slides over the last one as you scroll through context, problem, decision, outcome and what you cut.

• Commentary notes that hide without moving the page on desktop, and fold away on phones.

• A before and after slider that works by drag, arrow keys or two buttons.

• A work list where project names pass a held frame that swaps covers from your CMS.

• An Under NDA state that shows the summary and an "Ask me about this one" button instead of the work.

• Notes, About, Contact with a working form, Privacy and a 404 page.

• Light and dark mode, including the code components.

Built with 2 CMS collections (Work and Notes) and 9 pages, so the demo runs on Framer's Basic plan. Designed and tested at desktop, tablet and phone sizes, and up to 2560 px wide. Fonts are Libre Franklin and Source Serif 4 from Google Fonts. The interface screens in the demo are original, and the photos are from Unsplash.
