About Noa Varga
About Noa Varga
A free portfolio template for designers and art directors. Your name runs across the first screen and stretches as the cursor passes over it, and every project opens into its own case study built from the CMS.
It started as a hand-coded site and was rebuilt with native Framer layers, so you can change almost everything without touching code.
Pages
Home and a case-study page for every project. Home holds the intro with a rotating project reel, the work grid, a services band, the about section and the contact footer. A design page in the project includes a design guide and a step-by-step edit guide.
CMS
Projects have fields for category, year, client, role, services, a live link, a rich-text description and six images. Categories become the filter chips above the grid, and Experience fills the career list in the about section.
The work section switches between a masonry grid and a type-led index with cover previews on hover. Cover ratios are planned so both columns end on the same line.
Design
Archivo and Fragment Mono, 18 text styles and 9 colour styles with light and dark values that follow the visitor's system setting. A custom cursor labels each click: View, Open or Next.
4 custom components:
* ElasticText: the stretching name and "Let's talk" heading. On phones the stretch follows your scroll.
* Reel: cycles the hero image through your projects every five seconds.
* Project Flight: the cover you click flies into the case-study hero.
* Copy email: a magnetic button that copies your address in one click.
Noa Varga is free. If you build something with it, I'd love to see it!
