About Nordlyn
Nordlyn is a refined portfolio template for design studios, independent creatives, art directors, photographers, and multidisciplinary practices.
Built around the idea of a living archive, Nordlyn presents your work through a minimal index where projects can be filtered by discipline and explored through responsive image previews. Selected projects lead into editorial case studies with rich project details, masonry galleries, lightbox viewing, credits, and previous/next navigation.
The template includes dedicated pages for selected work, the full project archive, studio information, contact, project case studies, legal documents, and a custom 404 page.
Projects, categories, and legal documents are managed through CMS, making the site easy to expand without rebuilding its structure. Add a new project and the archive, categories, project navigation, and related site information stay organized around it.
Nordlyn includes both light and dark themes, automatically matching the visitor’s system preference while allowing manual switching between Paper and Ink modes. The selected preference is remembered across visits.
Subtle interactions bring the otherwise restrained interface to life: project previews respond to hover, rows invert, text scrambles character by character, statements reveal line by line, images use lightbox viewing, studio imagery moves with parallax, and page transitions connect the experience.
Every detail is designed around clarity—from responsive typography and reusable components to semantic structure, image alt text, reduced-motion support, empty CMS states, and page-specific SEO.
A quiet, systematic portfolio for letting the work take precedence.
