Introducing Sidelong

Sidelong turns the scroll on its side — free, and fully built. Visitors scroll down; the work moves sideways, nine full-screen panels running edge to edge in one pinned, continuous take. Hero, story, selected work, services, clients, availability, contact.

Not a layout — a built site

Most free portfolio templates give you arrangement. Horizon ships the behaviour: scroll-linked horizontal motion, a fixed side rail carrying your wordmark and local time that re-colours itself against every panel it passes, a loader sequence, and a scroll-progress hairline.

Stacks cleanly on smaller screens

Tablet and phone drop the horizontal track for a vertical column — same content, same styles, no second design to maintain.

Built on styles, not hex values

Ten text styles and ten colour styles. Change Accent, Ink and Paper and the whole site rebrands. Not one layer carries a raw hex value or a loose font size.

Two CMS collections drive the work index and every case study page. Add or remove a panel and nothing else needs touching — the nav anchors and progress bar measure the track at runtime.
