About Umber
Umber is a work-first, editorial template for a branding or design studio. It opens on a photograph of your work — not a pitch — and hands straight over to The Index: a numbered project list that flips to ink and springs the project photo into view as you move down it. Everything is left-aligned on a magazine grid, set in Erode and Satoshi on bone paper with one burnt-umber accent. There is not a single icon card on the site.
What you get
• Five pages: Home, Work, Services, Studio, Contact — plus a finished case-study template, 404 and three legal pages.
• Three CMS collections (Projects, Team, Recognition) already filled with demo content. Add your 43rd project as one CMS entry; The Index, the archive and the next-project bar all update.
• The sales furniture studios usually have to design themselves: starting prices on Home, a full rate card with inclusions and revisions, three ways to work, a payment schedule, a Good for / Not for section, an availability line in four places, and a brief form with budget and multi-select needs.
• A case-study template that holds up: wrapping display title, sticky facts column, a paired gallery that never leaves half a row empty, results row, next-project bar.
• Responsive down to 390px with a rebuilt mobile drawer and a sticky contact bar. Light theme, no code components, no plugins.
Built for: a two-to-ten-person branding, packaging or web studio with real projects and real photography, or a senior freelancer positioning as a studio.
Booking is a native block you can style like the rest of the template — swap in your own Cal.com, Calendly or Typeform embed in a minute, or keep the form and phone link as they are.
