Why am I billed both monthly and yearly?

If you are on a yearly team plan and more seats are added to your team, it may be that you start seeing a monthly charge next to the yearly charge.

We charge additional seats on a monthly basis for two reasons:

  1. Providing more flexibility to add and remove seats
  2. Avoiding unexpected costs

Providing more flexibility to add and remove seats

Once you add more seats to your yearly team than the number of seats you originally purchased with your team, we will bill any extra editors monthly.

We do this firstly to ensure that if an extra editor is added in your team, you won’t have to pay for the full remainder of the year for the additional seat.

This provides you with more flexibility if you were to decide to remove the person from the team again.

Avoiding unexpected costs

Next to the increased flexibility, we also want to make sure that you keep an overview of the charges that are made within the team. If we were to increase your team charge all at once the next year, it would be more difficult to keep track of the billing changes.

If you receive a monthly charge for any additional seats, you can keep better track of what additional costs are incurred for additional seats while this is happening instead of finding out about it with the next yearly billing period.

Paying yearly for all seats

It is currently not yet possible to keep all charges on a yearly basis.
